this is a pen I made from a kit i received from Club Stamp

I have to say I love this club and the wonderful papers and projects

my second attempt at a needle felted dottee doll

this was also for a swap the theme is Hell's Angle dottee or biker dottee

I think she looks more like a twisted Gypsy but i still
like the way she came out
she has a dud rag on her head but it
dosen't show up very well

so even bikers use gypsy's so maybe
shes a biker gypsy ok
thats what she is going to be a biker gypsy
Thats my story and im sticking with it....

needle felted dottee doll

I needed to make a dottee doll for a swap and wanted
to try my hand at something a bit
different so i decided to needle felt
this one

she is made from various colors of needle felted elements
hair , tail , face and body
the only thing that is not needle felted is the hanger I wanted to make sure it was strong enough to last so i used string for the hanger

a pin made from leftover needle felting fibers all colors mixed in I glued on a face and on the top of the is a peacock feather but you can't see it very well in the photo

I cut a shape from scrap felt and needle felted it in burgney then attached some green felt letters and some fibers on the top

three amulet bags and a pin I made using needle felting
I really like the way these turned out all three of the bags were felted onto a piece of felt for added strength the pin was just white roving with a bit of orange added in and I added a pin back and glued a polymer clay face

recycled autum art doll

I finally got her done
I am really happy with the way she came out

I use some metal coils that were trimed from a metal gutter for her legs

her base is an old box that held some scrapbook brads
that came in a kit

the body is packaging from something can't remember what


the arms are plastic Wal mart and Dollar General bags braided and wrapped around some scrap wire


the head is an old milk cap

the hair is a couple of large scrapbook flowers that i had left from a project.

the paper thats inside her body is the backing from some copper leafing paper that i had used up and a torn quote from an old magazine headed for the recycle bin

her green skirt is the mask design that My Hubby had cut out for one of his projects that he had painted and removed I seen it laying on the trash bin when i was looking for parts for my doll so decided that it would make a lovely skirt.

her face is a polymer clay face that i molded its from my stash. that and her hair the only two things that aren't recycled

the brace i used to hold her up and give her a bit of added support is a metal piece that was removed from some damaged gutters and headed for the recycle bin

teddy bear tea party

This is a bit hard to see because the bear is black but its a teddy bear holding a blue tea cup filled with various goodies and tea.
this was a fun swap to put together and the tea cup is so pretty in person

my first Bracelet ever

This is a bracelet i made using memory wire and a variety of semi precious stones
mosty jasper , various stone chips and fresh water perils.
I had fun making it. I don't think it came out to bad for the first one i've ever made.

fall theme swap napkin rings and napkins

this is a set of napkin rings and cloth napkins
I made the napkin rings from paper towel rolls and wrapped them with green hemp , added a fall leaf and a clay face . I really like the way they came out .
I made a set of 6 using two different kinds of leaves oak and maple 3 of each
I did the napkins the same way I made 3 each from two different kinds of material my idea is that they could be alternated around the table creating and interesting place setting for up to 6 people

lightbulb skull man

I made this for a Halloween ornament swap
its made from a lightbulb I hand painted the features and then added a hat, ribbon , and some wild purple hair I like the way he came out
and best of all I had fun making him

Finally getting some stuff done and posted again
this is an altered altoid tin i did for a swap
its a fall theme and since i love making leaf faries i made one for the top of the box
using some crinkly paper as a background and the inside of the lid , a bit of fall themed ribbon around the edge of it.

this is a fairy door tag that i made for a swap im pretty happy with the way it came out

a scary looking cloud

a picture we took of a cloud about 5 miles from where we live
we took this about 30 minutes after a torando had passed thru the area.

this is not a torando as there was no rotation
but it is a SLC (scary looking cloud)

Recycled art for a swap

the necklace is made from an old priority envelope (tyvek) that was painted and heated I added a paper clay face
the keyring is made from a plastic walmart sack (the white) a dollar general sack (the yellow) and the red is a produce mesh
i cut into strips and braded rolled it into a coil and secrued with wire then glued a paper clay face onto it
next is an altered altoid tin
next are 3 different kinds of beads the first is just the common rolled paper bead next is a painted paper towel bead rolled over a knitting needle and allowed to dry I just reused the paper towels that i wiped my brushed off on from various projects
next is a plastic straw dipped in leftover embrossing powder and cooled







an altered journal made from an old priority mail box for the covers the paper is left over office paper and misc pieces of colored paper
I used a map to cover the front and back a piece of bubbled tyvek and a face which was printed on old tyvek paper
and a couple of pieces of scrap fabric for embellishment

Dottee doll for Ann

I made this doll for a friend
the face is made from tyvek and i use some small multcolored beads for the tail and added a dragonfly brad the hair is a varity of purple yarn and fibers mixed together.

I made a tiny dottee doll tonight she is less than 3 inches long including her tail I put her on a ribbon so she could be worn as a necklace

My first ever altered Barbie

This is the very first altered barbie that i've ever done
I painted her silver all over , addered a crackled finished and used a green dye to bring out the cracks.
her bra and shoes are painted on , she has a fringe lace skirt and several tattoos
she's not quite done im going to add a necklace and a couple of other things havn't totally decided yet

I made this bag for a friend
I learned a lot from the first one and I think it came out a bit better I used a piece of copper for the closure and choose a moon charm as embellishment I textured the copper and added a bit of color with some alcohol ink.

and altered it to create a new jewerly box for a gothic valentine swap im in
I even altered the ballarina that was inside to reflect the scene
Im pretty happy with the way it turned out
